My wife discovered Pomskies about a year and a half ago and we knew our son would move out after graduation and take our Siberian Husky (Yuki) with him, whom we love dearly. We also have a Jack Russel/Chihuahua mix (Kylo) who is an absolute lover and we couldn’t let him be alone so the hunt for our next dog was upon us. We scoured the internet, talked to breeders (there’s a ton of “backyard” breeders who can’t guarantee genetics and won’t have them tested and they didn’t look right), seen the breeding pairs and offspring, the whole 9-yards and also saw the pricing for these designer dogs 😫 We had some time to look though so we kept looking. We came across Blacktail Mountain Pomskies/Huskies webpage and here is where that experience for us started:

On the morning of Sunday, July 18th 2021 I was again perusing the internet for a Pomsky (was going to be my wife’s own personal pooch as she never got to pick or have one personally so she was being picky, rightfully so). I found Blacktail Mountain Pomskies and immediately went straight to the breeding pairs. I had looked so much that I learned if I wanted awesome genetics I should be looking at the parents first and if they passed then the puppies. The pics of them were awesome, BEAUTIFUL and they looked like they had strong genetics so we looked at the puppies and *BAM* a female, blue-eyed red pomsky (hard to find!) was in front of my face and looked far prettier and nicer than others we’ve seen over the last year. I emailed them immediately and was contacted same day, ON A SUNDAY about 20mins or so after my inquiry. That was a first for me, every other breeder either took their sweet time or never responded. The communication was professional, friendly and down to earth. Tyler (co-owner with his wife Jackie) asked for my cellphone number so he could send me some pics he recently had taken and to provide better correspondence. We’re both from Idaho so heck yes, that’s how our community works, but Tyler and Jackie personify what it means to be Idahoan!

Tyler was more than on top of it, we were able to facilitate same day purchase because of the quality of dogs(confident they were TRUE POMSKIES-F1), professionalism of him and his wife Jackie, prompt detailed responses to every dinky question (I was asking some silly stuff to him I’m sure-lol) and he provided information without me asking or even knowing I should ask. Tyler is “an old don’t play games” kinda guy that “says what he means and means what he says” and he absolutely lives up to that (he’s not old, just thinks he is 😉).

We sent our deposit via Venmo and he sent us the contract all on the 18th (again a Sunday, the nations laziest and holiest day each week). The contract is the most comprehensive we saw out of all the breeders we spoke to, it has some rules sure, but has quite a good “warranty” for the puppy, an “insurance” we didn’t see with other breeders-The Contract protected us as buyers extremely well and more than fairly. Again, Tyler and Jackie are transparently honest, forthright and upfront about EVERYTHING to do with their business and stock. We communicated a plan to travel up north to pick up our pup which Tyler being who he is facilitated communication with another buyer from Idaho that lives a few hours south of us who we’re going up same day we were. He professionally set-up communication between us and next thing I know I’m picking up their puppy too since we’re already making the trip. Everything was going more than perfect. FLAWLESS and we were able to help a member of our community through Tyler’s professionalism and being a genuinely great human being.

We took a beautiful drive up north and stayed overnight in Spokane (cheaper than CDA, but about a 45min drive away). The pickup appointment was Saturday morning at 9:30am and we hastily got there on time at which point was able to physically see the parents and I have to say, THESE DOGS ARE AWESOME!!! Just absolutely gorgeous breeding stock and in person I was floored. The temperament was very family friendly and very well mannered. I fell in love with Sammi (mother husky) and Jimmi (Pomeranian father-who is the most handsome Pom I’ve ever seen!).

Tyler and Jackie have embarkment readily available (DNA proof of genetics) for all their dogs. They are very well taken care of, extremely well. This was an experience we’ll never forget. Jackie and Tyler provided us with “go-home” bags that had samples of the food they use (Costco puppy mixed with Costco red can soft food), vacc records in a sleeve with a cute pic of your pup on the other side, a new blanket that they’ve put the mother’s scent on and of course THE PUPPY. They’re able to give you a great idea of their current personality as well. It was a perfect experience.

Blacktail Mountain Pomskies is the only place to purchase. You’ll leave so confident that you’ll be wishing you bought two! We’re already thinking of another once ours is a year or two old.

This is a crazy long and detailed review, but these guys deserve all the acknowledgment they can get, absolutely! Thanks again Tyler and Jackie, you’ve given us far more than just a new puppy ❤️👍🏾
